The Red Mill Burgers in Seattle

The Red Mill Burger was originally erected in Seattle in the Capitol Hill neighborhood in 1937. Their hamburgers were not that popular and the restaurant provided the atmosphere of a diner and ice creamery with seat-at-the-counter service; it was a famous place because everybody would hang out in that particular restaurant, but not necessarily because of the hamburgers.

Kathleen and Monica Shepherds worked as waitress at the original Red Mill Burger, and they would often bring French fries and all sorts of leftovers to their young brothers. In 1994, brothers John and Babe Shepherds decided to reopen the restaurant in memory of their late sisters, but this time the restaurant was meant to be known for its hamburgers.

They opened their first restaurant in Phinney Ridge neighborhood and in 1998, they opened a second location in the Interbay neighborhood to follow up their huge success. Their hamburgers became known as the best in Seattle and were recognized by "Seattle Weekly" in their "Best of Seattle" issue.

Red Mill’s hamburgers have a special taste. The freshness and quality of ingredients is what makes them outstanding. They have all sorts of burgers, chicken sandwiches, veggie burgers, fries, and shakes for less than seven dollars. Those who like meat can choose a variety of flamed–broiled, quarter pound beef burgers, such as the blue cheese and bacon burger or the BBQ burger. Whatever you choose, you're sure to be impressed by the best hamburgers in Seattle.
